All students are challenged to work hard to achieve their individual personal best, develop an understanding of the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle and foster a lifelong passion for sport
PE at Forest can be summarised as:
Sport for all
Sporting excellence
Sport for life
With an engaging and varied PE curriculum students will develop individual skills, knowledge and competencies that will help their personal and educational development throughout their time at Forest and beyond. We want students:
- To develop a growth mind set through PE whilst adopting a try hard attitude in every lesson.
- To be reflective practitioners and develop creative solutions when experiencing new and/or varied sporting challenges
- To be able to effectively work on their own and as part of a team in different sporting situations
- To compete fairly
Across KS3 and KS4 students will experience a range of sporting activities, such as net/wall games (e.g. badminton & table tennis) invasion games, (e.g. basketball, football), aesthetic activities (e.g. dance & gymnastics), striking & fielding games (e.g. rounders and cricket) athletics, OAA and alternative sports (e.g. dodgeball and roundnet)
