Ella
Year 7
My name is Ella and I just started at Forest. My favourite subjects are PE and DT, because I like the fact that they are practical and hands-on. Being part of the Forest Family is great because they have brilliant options for clubs. The sports I do outside of school are Karate (I am a Black Belt) and Gymnastics; for one Gymnastics competition I competed for West Sussex.

Year 8
I have been at Forest for over a year now and I really feel like I am part of the Family. My favourite subjects are PE, because I love anything sporty, and Science, because I like to have an understanding of the world. Joining the football team gave me the opportunity to settle into the Forest Family and to make lots of friends.

Rupert
Year 9
When I first joined in Year 7, I never imagined that I would be the main role in a school production, so I was thrilled to be given the part of Billy in ‘Billy Elliot.’ It made me more confident and I made a lot of friends. The Art Department is my favourite part of the school because I have always enjoyed the subject and being creative.

Freya
Year 10
When I first arrived at Forest, I was one of only 26 girls, but I still felt like part of the Forest Family. Mr Straw and the teachers make everyone feel included, and I enjoy welcoming primary school pupils to tours and events, as well as visiting them at their schools. I often participate in Student Panels and I like the fact my opinions are taken into account.

Asa
Year 11
My time at Forest has been full of adventures and experiences, and I’ve enjoyed getting involved in Performing Arts every year; the highlights being Billy Elliot and I am looking forward to the upcoming musical Grease. Through activities at Forest, I have developed skills such as teamwork, which I can take forward into the next chapter of my life.
